The groovy dudes over at Rocksmith are giving away three free tracks for owners of Rocksmith on the PlayStation 3 and the Xbox 360. They're also promising new download content every two weeks. According to guitar and gaming enthusiast Catarina, a frequent visitor here at vgstrategies.about.com, fans have been uploading their very own videos of the game for a chance to be in the next Rocksmith ad campaign. I've been hearing a lot of talk about the future of gaming hard drives, most of which is touting to gaming consumers that the newest solid state hybrid hard drives are truly the direction games are headed on a PC, Mac or other compliant gaming device. I have a few friends over at Seagate, one of the world's leading hard drive manufacturers and they were nice enough to allow me to take a closer look at the technology and performance of their new Momentus XT solid state hybrid laptop hard drive. Incidentally, earlier in my career I wrote an article about how simple you can swap out your PlayStation 3 hard drive, it takes less than ten minutes with the correct tools and instruction (located here).

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 or Battlefield 3 'Poll Results'

We recently surveyed random site visitors and asked them which title they were most anticipating; "Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3 or Battlefield 3?" -- the results were a bit surprising. 58% of respondents selected Battlefield 3, while Modern Warfare 3 only scored the votes of 43% of that same group. In stark contrast to our poll results, Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3 is by far the most played game, according to Xbox Live data available to me. Through your actions and your lack of actions you tell the world who you are, what you stand tall for, and what you are completely unwilling to accept. Megadeth's Dave Mustaine, a mortal human being just like you and I, a man I have YET to meet, he is MY single most important messenger on my list of inspirational people (that you would know). Yet, it is still through him and his music that I found HIM. Listen to the music, listen to the inflection within his voice, understand the lyrics as well as the words the guitars speak. He's got it nailed... almost!

System Glitch Corrected -- vgstrategies cheat code database secure

The system wide glitch that crippled the JCR Media Delta Force Team CodeCrushers' lines of communications earlier this month has been corrected and all departments are reporting Level 1 status. While the terms of the agreement are sealed under order of the Secretary of State and it remains uncertain what lasting affects this will have for the former Chief Security Adviser, whom was discharged from service shortly after the breach, reports from sources very close to all parties indicate that "this only means our security squads need to continue to increase and monitor their security protocols very closely, making the cheat code database that much more protected."
