Should This Prom "Graffiti Artist" be Declared King?

James Tate was banned from his school's prom for asking a girl with cardboard letters taped to the front of the school.

It looked a little something like this:

Since the ban was obviously a mistake (it's such a fun & romantic way to ask a girl to prom!), several people in his town, including the mayor, flipped out about the punishment. The school ended up reversing the ban.

Now that James is allowed at his prom, should be named Prom King? After all, with the bravery he displayed, he's already sort of the king.

Drivers' Ed: Is It Too Much or Not Enough?

Some adults, like these in Pennsylvania, think that teens aren't getting enough training before scoring their drivers' licenses.

77% of Pennsylvanian voters think that teens should take 15 extra hours of lessons, bumping required hours for that state up to 65. Considering that accident rates for teens are higher than for any other age group, they might be onto something.

Then again, is drivers' ed the issue - or is it the way teens act when they're behind the wheel (texting, talking and blasting music)? Is there a better way to improve teen driving than forcing you to sit in class for longer?

MariaTalks.com: Too Hot for Teens?

According to Salon.com, politicians in Massachusetts are freaking out about a state-funded sex info site for teens called MariaTalks.com.

Some slang words the site uses to describe sex acts - I won't mention them here, but you can find a lot of them in articles I've written about sex - were called "disgusting" and "vulgar" by the politicians.

My feeling about it: well, yeah, those words aren't rated G. But you can't really talk about sex - at least not honestly - without saying something that might offend. If you want to tell the truth, you can't be gentle about it.
