New Free School Themed Paper Piecing Patterns

Another school year has come to an end and now that you are all done attending graduation open houses, it's time to get some school scrapbook pages done. The end of the year is a great time to get the kids involved in making pages that will help them remember another year that has gone by. This week I have added three brand new patterns to the School Paper Piecing Gallery making it a gallery filled with a perfect ten patterns. The new ones include a graduation cap, a wise owl, and a school text book.

Scrap Your Stash Challenge - Buttons

I have added a new challenge to the Current Page Calls list and I'm calling it "Scrap Your Stash." Each month we will focus on a scrapbook supply that we all collect and have lots and lots of. Male Scrapbookers: Scrapbooking in the Movies - 'Taken' on DVD

The movie 'Taken' starring Liam Neeson is now available on DVD. Neeson plays a character named Bryan Mills, a former CIA agent with a very dangerous set of skills. This tough-guy, action thriller took a fascinating turn for me when Neeson's character printed out a photo that he took at his estranged daughter's birthday party so that he could add it to a scrapbook that he has been keeping since she was little. You see the softer side of this former black ops agent as he carefully tapes the photo in place and then flips back through the previous pages in the scrapbook. If you like high-adrenaline, action thrillers this is the movie for you, and as an added bonus the main character happens to be possibly the most unexpected scrapbooker. Scrapbook Pages Inspired by Quotes

While flipping through a magazine recently, I came across a quote from a poem by Shel Silverstein. The poem is called Forgotten Language and it brings to mind what a child's imagination is like. This poem made me want to create a scrapbook page that showcased my son's very vivid imagination. The layout in this week's feature gallery is the result of that inspiration. I also have compiled a list of Imagination and Dreams quotes to inspire your next scrapbook page.
