My wife said she almost got me �a flying duck as part of my birthday last month. But I think she probably decided that with the Havoc Helis and other helicopters I had enough little indoor flying machines -- no duck-hunting allowed in our living room. (Why not, I ask? She took down the ceiling fan so no danger there!) Which is Really Faster -- Nitro or Electric?

I have been hearing a lot of people saying that nitro is faster then electric and was just wondering how this rumor got started? Every electric I have owned has walked circles around my nitro. I had a E-Maxx and a T-Maxx, the e-maxx was much faster and bashed a lot better. My E-Revo will outrun any nitro 4wd truggy/buggy that I have seen, of course besides a nitro 4-tec or the like. Brushless technology is producing tons more power then nitro, at a better rpm and pulls into higher speed.

A few months back I spotted the Jada Toys Battle Machines Laser Battle RCs in the store and wanted one (or two or all of them). I currently have three. They provide a great break from building RCs, repairing family cars, and playing Wii Sports -- all activities I've done a lot of lately (only two of which I've really enjoyed -- can you guess which ones?).

How to Assemble Beadlocks

One of the more time-consuming and somewhat frustrating steps in building my AX10 was assembling the wheels with their beadlock rims.

Magnify Your RC Work

There are a lot of tiny, tiny parts involved with building an RC. (I hate e-clips!) Even if you're not building a kit, any hobby-grade RC is going to have a bunch of little screws that will need tightening, removal, or replacing over time.

Put a V8 Engine in Your Electric RC

Ran across this when I was looking at the RC4WD Subzero. It's a very realistic, silver edition�1/10 Fracture V8 Engine with built-in Transfer Case into which you can insert a 540 motor. Stick this in a scale RC for some major realism inside and out. Heck, I'd want to run my RC without the body to show off this engine.
