Phoenix Wright Coming to the Wii

Capcom has just announced that the Phoenix Wright adventure/puzzle series for the Nintendo DS is coming next year to the Wii.� The first and best game in the series, Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney, will be available as a WiiWare title this coming January.� The excellent sequel Phoenix Wright Ace Attorney: Justice for All will come out in March while May will mark the release of the third game,� Phoenix Wright Ace Attorney: TRIALS AND TRIBULATIONS. The games will cost 1000 Wii points (around $10) each.

The Phoenix Wright series' mix of wacky humor, intricate mystery plots and ingenious puzzles made it a standout on the DS; presumably it will be just as much fun on the Wii

Recently I raved on and on about how Nyko finally succeeded in creating an almost perfect Wii remote induction charger after so many others had fallen short. It took years from the Wii console's release for someone to make a really great charger, but it has taken only a few weeks for a second to appear: Energizer's Flat Panel Induction Charger.

'Lego Rock Band' Reviewed

I met a girl, an Industrial Design student who was working on a toilet mock up for some class, who told me she loved Legos. When I told her there was a new game called Lego Rock Band, she said, "oh cool, can you like, build your own guitar controller out of Legos?" I also mentioned the game to a guy who said, "what, do you put Legos together with music or something?"

Apparently you can't hear of this game without thinking of more interesting gameplay than the designers came up with.

Penguin United Crossfire Remote Pistol Reviewed

The Wii remote, a long, slender object held with one hand with your forefinger on a trigger, is more gun-like than other game controllers, but using it still feels a lot more like operating your television remote than firing a glock. This explains the appeal of gun shells that allow you to turn your remote into a plastic gun. What is interesting about Penguin United's Crossfire Remote Pistol is that it is not a shell at all, but a gun-shaped, fully functional Wii remote.

Nintendo Says no Wii HD in 2010 and Possibly no Zelda

Since the Wii has been struggling of late, there's been plenty of speculation of what could turn things around for Nintendo.� According to Nintendo of America president Reggie Fils-Aime in an interview with Gametrailers TV, two of those things will not be a high-def version of the Wii or the next Zelda game, both of which he says we won't be seeing in 2010.

Actually, all Reggie said about Zelda was that Nintendo hasn't committed to it for 2010, which doesn't mean they won't commit to a 2010 ship date later on, but he was very firm about no Wii HD.� Of course, Nintendo was also very firm in insisting they wouldn't cut the price of the Wii right up until� they did it,� so whether Reggie is giving us the straight scoop or just playing his cards close to the vest is something we don't know for sure.

'Spore Hero' Reviewed

Do I like Spore Hero? It's a difficult question to answer. Certainly I found it interesting. At times I found myself unable to stop playing, engaged by a constant stream of new things to do and new skills that opened up new areas of the game. Beset by a slew of pre-Christmas Wii titles, I chose Hero as the most intriguing of the bunch. And yet, I am not completely certain whether I actually like the game.
