The Moblin project team has completed Version 2.1 of the operating system designed for Intel Atom processor based netbooks. The latest release brings a wide range of improvements in the areas of user interface, plug-in support, performance, and documentation. Since Firefox remembers all your tabs when you close and re-open the browser, I have been using tabs increasingly as bookmarks as wells as reminders of pages I have been reading recently or tasks I have been working on. The key advantage of tabs for such purposes is that you can switch between tabbed web sites instantly with one click. There is no loading time. This also means that the number of tabs grows quickly, and managing the large number of tabs becomes an issue.

Ubuntu 9.10 to be Released on Thursday 10/29/09
