New World Record Set for Eyebrow Waxing

Gemma Barrow, owner of Pure Indulgence Salon in Wollaston, England is now in the Guinness Book of World Records for waxing 100 people's eyebrows in three hours. What was the last record? There isn't one for eyebrow waxing, she has set the first. But let me tell you that's a lot of work and she probably was waxing eyebrows in her sleep that night.

Gemma did this for a good cause, in aid of Children in Need. Dozens of people of all ages booked in advance. At least half of the �5 (5 British pounds) charged to each customer is going to Children in Need (read full story).

Shaving Cream Sheets Great for Traveling

When traveling, I really do make an effort to condense and take as little toiletries as possible. I hate to say that it doesn't always work out that way. I try to take small containers, tape and wrap things up tight so they don't spill. But somehow, something usually makes its way dripping out.

Have You Tried Uni K. Wax Centers?

Uni K. Wax Centers isn't only unique in that they provide "waxing only" services. The wax they use is a one of a kind. It's a pure green, natural wax made from pine sap, beeswax and aloe vera (see photo left). Also unlike most waxes it doesn't contain any paraffin, chemicals, or coloring agents.

The wax consistency is also very different. Most waxes are applied warm, have a strip applied on top and then set a bit before being removed. Their wax formulation (owned by the company) goes on room temperature, is very elastic and never hardens on the skin. So it's supposed to hurt less compared to when traditional wax is removed.
