Japan Receives Game & Watch Club Nintendo Bonus

If you're an American Club Nintendo member and you enjoy being disappointed, boy oh boy, does Nintendo have something up its sleeve. Platinum Club Nintendo members will be getting an actual Game & Watch handheld game as a member bonus--but only in Japan.

The giveaway, a game called "Ball," was originally released in 1980 and was the first release for Nintendo's popular Game & Watch series of LCD games. In many ways, the Game & Watch titles can be considered the predecessor to the Game Boy and the Nintendo DS.

Gold Club Nintendo members will receive a calendar. Hooray!

The Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney series became an instant cult classic when it hit the Nintendo DS. Suddenly, people had reason to believe that there might be some merit to lawyers after all.

Phoenix's adventures as a bumbling defense lawyer were a definite blast, but now it's time for his rival, the "demon prosecutor" Miles Edgeworth, to have his day on the DS. Ace Attorney Investigations: Miles Edgeworth is coming in mid-February of 2010, but you can warm up your "Objections!" and "Eurekas!" with an online demo provided graciously by Capcom.

Black Friday is the day for video game deals, and this year will be no exception. According to a report from Silicon Era, Best Buy will tempt you into opening your wallet for two Nintendo DSi bundle deals: one for Brain Age fans, and another for Super Mario fans.

The first bundle is a white DSi that's pre-loaded with Brain Age Express: Arts & Letters, Brain Age Express: Sudoku, Brain Age Express: Math, Clubhouse Games Express: Card Classics, and the Photo Clock.

'Hotel Dusk' Sequel Coming Next Year?

2007's Hotel Dusk: Room 215 was a unique interactive novel/adventure game for the Nintendo DS. Players took on the role of a scruffy detective, Kyle Hyde, as he tried to simultaneously solve the mystery behind an old hotel and the disappearance of his best friend.

It seems Kyle may have work again. GameInformer has some information regarding a Hotel Dusk sequel for the Nintendo DS titled, Last Window: Midnight Promise. The title will receive a January 14 release, though there's no gameplay information available yet.

Will a US release follow? Hotel Dusk was wholly deserving of a sequel, so let's hope so.

He describes the experience in detail and outlines how Spirit Tracks builds on the stylus-driven controls introduced in the previous Nintendo DS Zelda game, The Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass.
