The Detroit fireworks season begins this weekend in Metro Detroit:

Canton: Heritage Park hosts fireworks on Friday, June 14th as part of the Canton Liberty Fest.
Milford/Brighton: Kensington Metropark hosts fireworks on Saturday June 15th.
Rochester Hills: Bordon Park plays host to fireworks on Wednesday, June 16th as part of its Festival of the Hills, a family festival with games and live entertainment.

Music and Comedy Concerts in Detroit This Weekend

King at The Colosseum at Caesars Windsor; Orion Late Night with Dillon Francis at The Fillmore in downtown Detroit; Gladys Knight and Daniel Tosh at The Fox Theatre in downtown Detroit; Chevy Metal with Taylor Hawkins at the Majestic / Magic Stick in Midtown Detroit; Designers and Models: The Walk at the Masonic Temple in Detroit; Circus: Cars & Stars at the Music Hall Center for the Performing Arts in Detroit; Pitbull, Ke$ha, New Kids on the Block, 98 Degrees and Boyz II Men at The Palace in Auburn Hills; and Baroness at Saint Andrew's Hall in Detroit.

Michigan Economy Notes for 2013

Livonia: Sweet Lorraine's is hosting a Mother's Day Brunch from 10:30 AM to 5:30 PM. The buffet includes soup, cheese, a carving station with Prime Rib and Ham, an omelet station, a Belgian waffle station, a salad bar, and a dessert table.
