Exclusive Avatar The Game iPhone/iTouch Preview

About.com's Guide to Mobile Games, Damon Brown, has posted an exclusive preview for the upcoming Avatar The Game for the iPhone/iPod Touch. While the PC and Console versions of the game follow the overall plot of the Avatar film, the mobile version takes place some 20 years before, giving players a look into the world of Pandora prior to the events of the film. The PC and console versions of James Cameron's Avatar The Game are scheduled for release on December 1st while the mobile version will be out on December 15th. The film will be in theaters on Friday, December 18th.

Left 4 Dead 2 Patch Released

Valve has released the first patch for Left 4 Dead 2, the patch will be applied the next time you log into the Steam client and is required before you can proceed to play in multiplayer co-op mode. The patch includes some minor fixes with performance, matchmaking and version mode to name a few the full patch notes are listed below. Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 Review (PC)

With midnight store openings, record breaking pre-release sales and an assault on web, print and prime time TV advertisement it was nearly impossible to miss the release of Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2. Add to that the almost daily influx of new rumors and news surrounding the game it's no wonder it became the biggest entertainment launch in history. With all that hype comes some added pressure, especially when the game is the follow up to one of the most critically acclaimed first person shooters of all time, Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare.

Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 for PC out sells Call of Duty 4

Infinity Ward's Robert Bowling announced on IW's forums today that in one week Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 has out sold Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare by saying "The PC version of Modern Warfare 2 has actually outsold the PC version of Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare in it's first week. Making it the most successful PC version." No actual figures on the number of units sold but so much for the boycott because of lack of dedicated servers, multiplayer cap and all of the other negative press the PC version received in the weeks proceeding it's release. In my recent poll rating Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 it seemed as though people either love the game or hate it. I'm still finishing it up and while my first impressions were quite frustrating, the single player campaign has been a lot of fun. My review should be up this weekend. [Source: IW Forums]

Dragon Age: Origins DLC - Return to Ostagar Announced

Yesterday, Electronic Arts announced the upcoming release of Return to Ostagar for Dragon Age: Origins. In Return to Ostagar downloadable content (DLC) for Dragon Age: Origins, players will return to Ostagar where they'll attempt to seek revenge in honor of the Grey Wardens and uncover the secret agenda of King Cailan. No exact date has been announced for the release other than "Holiday 2009". Return to Ostagar will be available for $4.99 on Playstation and for 400 BioWare/Microsoft Points on the PC and Xbox 360.

Supreme Commander 2 Release Date Confirmed

The release date for Supreme Commander 2 was confirmed earlier today by the game's publisher, Square Enix. The game scheduled for release on March 2, 2010. Supreme Commander 2 is the follow up to the hit real time strategy game Supreme Commander and is set 25 years after the events of Supreme Commander: Forged Alliance. Factions returning in Supreme Commander 2 from the previous titles include the Cybran, United Earth Federation and the Illuminate.

Dragon Age: Origins Patch v1.01b Released

The Dragon Age: Origins patch v1.01b is the second patch released by Bioware for their hit fantasy computer role playing game. This release comes less than 2 weeks after the first patch was released which is a good sign that Bioware is still working hard making their game better. The patch notes included with v1.01b are the same as those listed for patch v1.01a. Until update patch notes are released we'll just have to assume that the latest release includes modifications on the same areas of the game.
