Congrats to Sunday Edition!

Sunday Edition, one of Nashville�s favorite groups, recently found out that their latest single, �He Bore a Cross,� has become on of the most added songs at Southern Gospel radio. It is the first single from Sunday Edition to break the Top 10 New Releases chart.

Newsong on Tour

Newsong started out in 1981 as a 9 member church band for Morningside Baptist Church in Valdosta, GA. Throughout the years, and changes in the group, they have had 17 #1 singles, six Dove Award nominations, numerous songwriting awards, and five of the Top 100 Christian radio singles of the past decade.

Their 2009 tour schedule is a busy one with plenty of shows.

Remedy Drive on Tour

Remedy Drive, the four-piece rock band from Lincoln, Nebraska is made up of brothers David (vocals, keys, guitar), Philip (bass, vocals), Paul (guitar, vocals), and Daniel Zach (drums). They started playing together in college and were picked up by Word in April of 2008.

The band's summer tour schedule is busy, but for a band that performs as much as they do, that is not unusual.

pureNRG Counting Down to the Release of Their Fourth Studio Album

Christian Music�s tween group, pureNRG, is scheduled to release their fourth studio album (including a Christmas album) on Fervent Records, July 14, 2009. The Real Thing features upbeat dance numbers and ballads that show off a new level of maturity for the three members.� (Jordan is now 16, Caroline, 14 and Carolyne, 13).

Time really does move quicker when you get older. (My grandma was right all of those years!) For me, it seems like just yesterday that pureNRG came out of the gate so four albums in such a short period of time is amazing. For my youngest daughter, however, time doesn't move as quickly and she has been chomping at the bit for new pureNRG music since in her mind, it has been forever since their last release.

Regardless of how fast the pureNRG whirlwind has traveled, the young group has kept busy. pureNRG just returned from their first international tour in Norway where they did four performances for the Soul Children�s Festival, an educational event with 1500 school age children from Norway, Sweden, Denmark and Ireland who were taught new music under several conductors.� pureNRG provided entertainment for the festival with three performances at the Konserthuset and once at Jernbanetorget. While in the country, pureNRG also got to do some sightseeing with a tour of the Royal Palace and a beautiful boat ride in the city of Oslo.�

pureNRG has a busy summer and fall schedule ahead of them that includes performances at the Creation West Festival in July, a second appearance in August at the American Airlines Center in Dallas at a Ringling Brother�s Circus event and a missions trip to Mexico in October.

The Wrecking ... Heading Toward Twilight!

A Christian band having a song considered for a Christian TV show or movie is big news, but it's not unusual. A Christian band having a song considered for a mainstream TV show or movie ... now that is really big news and it is a rarity!

The Wrecking�s new song �Our Feet Don�t Touch the Ground� is being considered for �Twilight� - the next movie! There is a special website set up so fans can hear the song, download a free copy, and help the band get it placed. If they get 10,000 votes on that page by the end of June, they send a strong message to the producers and have a real shot at getting in. And believe me, I have listened to their music and talked to their drummer at length and the message that these guys are sending to the world is one that we should all get behind!
