Kutless on Tour

2012 GRAMMY Awards Tonight

Tonight, the nominees for the 2012 GRAMMY Awards will find out who won. With the new, slimmed down categories, Christian rock, rap, southern Gospel, country and bluegrass all got crammed into a Contemporary Christian listing. While this move didn't delete them (like Traditional Gospel and Contemporary R&B Gospel), it did effectively remove them from the running.

Congrats to Brandon Heath and Chris Tomlin. They both got three nominations. Other artists with more than one nod were Kirk Franklin and Mary Mary - they both walked away with two.

For those artists and bands that were too hard, too country or too anything else to fit into the "Contemporary" mold, you have my condolences.

Steven Curtis Chapman Celebrates 25 Years

Steven Curtis Chapman has come a long way wince his first national recording, First Hand, came out in 1987. He's given us 17 albums that cover over 200 songs, won over 50 Dove Awards and 5 Grammys, had 46 #1 hit songs ... the list could go on and on.

To celebrate his 25 years in Christian Music, Sparrow Records will be releasing # 1's Vol. 1 on April 3rd. The album will feature 13 of his biggest hits. Steven is celebrating with fans in his own way. This year, on his website, he's sharing a video series called Twenty Five. The series will release a new song every other Thursday in 2012 and will feature an acoustic performances of some of his most popular songs and the stories behind them. Each song will be available to view for only 25 days, so be sure you visit on time.

Andrew Peterson on Tour

Christian singer/songwriter Andrew Peterson is on the road with Steven Curtis Chapman and Josh Wilson again for the spring leg of the Songs & Stories tour. After that, he has several shows booked that go all the way up through December, including dates for his popular annual Behold the Lamb of God Christmas tour.
