You need something cool, sweet, tart, and crunchy to complement the rich and hot main dishes. These salads are all delicious and easy to make. My personal favorites are Carrot Pineapple Salad and Sour Cream Cherry Fruit Salad Mold. Yum.
Photo © 2009 Linda Larsen, licensed to About.com, Inc.
Thanksgiving Salads originally appeared on About.com Busy Cooks on Tuesday, November 24th, 2009 at 00:01:10.

Permalink | Comment | Email this

How to Stuff a Turkey Breast

There are two ways to stuff a bone-in, skin-on turkey breast. These instructions will take you through the process. The methods are very easy and result in a moist, well-flavored turkey breast and lots of delicious stuffing. This is a great idea for smaller families, or for larger gatherings where you want more turkey, but still want to roast a smaller bird. If your family loves white meat, roast a turkey breast along with the whole turkey.

Oh, and I was pleasantly surprised to find a gravy packet tucked inside the turkey breast! The instructions said to add to the drippings, but there weren't any drippings with the method I used (turkey on the stuffing). So I stirred some chicken broth and light cream into the gravy packet. It was sublime.
Photo © 2009 Linda Larsen, licensed to About.com, Inc.
How to Stuff a Turkey Breast originally appeared on About.com Busy Cooks on Thursday, November 19th, 2009 at 00:12:00.

Permalink | Comment | Email this
